A bit of revision on his LinkedIn page has not gone unnoticed by coworkers of a structural engineer out of East Betoota.
The update comes after Alex Lee was denied a promotion last week, prompting a thorough review of his account for potential new employers to have a geez at.
Lee reportedly turned on the ‘Open to Work’ feature on his profile, as well as beefed up his list of project responsibilities at his current and previous roles, prompting colleagues Natalie and Howard to believe he could hand in his two weeks' notice “any day now”.
“Should’ve seen his face walking out of the boss’ office after finding out he gave the promotion to his mate's son”, Natalie told our reporter.
"Fucking filthy.”
“He was telling us the other day about the new steak joint he was going to take his wife to when he got [the promotion]”, Howard added.
“To be fair, if I had put 8 years of my life into this firm, only to get snubbed by some ungrateful nepo baby, I’d be pissed off too.”
Lee has since been spotted scrolling Seek and Indeed for senior engineering roles, yet maintains that he is simply “curious to know what’s out there”.
“Nah mate, I love this gig”, the 31-year-old commented.
“The management here definitely knows what they’re doing!”
“And Callum getting that promotion just a couple of years out of uni had nothing to do with the fact that his Dad is mates was the person giving it to him!”
“I’m sure he’ll do a great job!”
