The NRL's entire State of Origin format will live to see another decade, after the NSW rugby league was resuscitated by divine intervention this evening.

After two decades of unbridled Queensland dominance - the Blues have crucially won a series and spared the game from all of NSW gradually losing interest in the interstate series.

After early points from the NSW Blues, the Maroons had begun to claw their way back in true Queensland fashion, with a major momentum shift after half time.

However, it was never to be. Multiple disallowed tries and a lopsided vigilance towards QLD penalties saw the Blues lead cemented.

In the end, it came down to one moment.

Bradman Best's full field try the 56 minute mark.

From one messy contest for the ball - a replay shows Jack Bostock’s fingers touched the ball in the air with TV commentators from both sides of the border calling it a knock on.

The fans also noticed this.

Everyone saw wha they saw, but the bunker and that referee that's been in the news saw different.

The hand of God has saved the NSW Blues and Laurie Daley's coaching career.
