Nation Sighs As NewsCorp Kicks Off This Anthem Shit Again

The nation has let out a collective sigh again this weekend, after the usual suspects tried to stir up another online shit fit.

With the Rugby League World Cup kicking off with an electric opening round, the NewsCorp's and online noise merchants of the world have decided to focus on who sings the anthem and who doesn't.

Despite an absolute belter of a game between the Aussies and Kiwis, a bumper crowd in Perth for England v Tonga, and the Jillaroos out-rating the Bledisloe Cup game - the Kangaroos and Jillaroos anthem performance has been the focal point for some.

A raft of articles and algo-bait hot takes on socials have SLAMMED the Kangaroos and Jillaroos players for not belting out a national anthem.

Some have called for those players to be banned from playing for the country unless they sing the anthem, in what seems like a rather sooky snowflake response to people not singing a song you like.

Others have just called for the players to move to another country 'seeing as they hate Australia' so much.

The predictable carry on has drawn sighs and shakes of the head from the majority of the nation who are sensible normal people that haven't let their brain's be turned into mush by algo's.

"For fuck's sake," sighed one local rugby league fan in coffee shop below The Advocate's newsroom.
