Millions Tune In To The Rugby League Version Of Hansel v Zoolander

Anyone who had eyes on Channel 7 last night has borne witness to the hottest thing on tele in a long long time.

The face off between the two hottest Rugby League fullbacks at Moore Park last night has been confirmed to be the most electric head to head since Derek Zoolander and Hansel in the seminal 2001 documentary Zoolander.

Emulating the incredible swagger of the famous fashion models, Kaylyn Ponga and Reece Walsh strutted their stuff in front of a pretty much sold out SFS, in a rather tasty promotion for oft maligned Rugby League World Cup.

Ponga, after being initially being manhandled out of play by the Hansel of the Steeden (Reece Walsh), then returned strut by crashing over for his first try early in the second half.

Taking things to the next level, Kayln 'Zoolander' Ponga then decided to turn things up by breaking the line and Hansel's ankles with a majestic step.

Not only did the absurd ankle breaker send the crowd wild, but the paparazzi were quick to snap the the undies of the Coal Country heart throb who swaggered his way over the line with pants down so low even James Tedesco would have been proud.

However, Hansel decided to call time after dancing through a broken defence with his locks flowing majestically to score his own fairly absurd try.

Unfortunately, that break lead to Ponga finally succumbing to a suspected broken forearm from earlier in the game - a testament to the stock of the KP that he was able to play they way he did through that injury.

Unfortunately the world will now need to wait a long time for the sequel, with KP reportedly out for the rest of the World Cup.

More to come.
