Local Intern Might’ve Used ChatGPT For The Office Sweep

“That lazy little toad” wheezed Trevor Cummings (46) as he pulled a piece of scrunched up paper from a golf cap.

With a few hours to go before the starters gun fires on The Race That Stops The Nation, The Advocate understands consultants at McKinsleys Investments Group have started to gather around the office watercooler, and compare which thoroughbred they’ve pulled in the obligatory Melbourne Cup office sweepstakes.

However, the chance to build some company culture by bonding over funny horse names has been smothered today, after the office intern, 22-year-old undergrad Levi Hayes-Winton, has allegedly used ChatGPT to arrange the sweepstakes.

“That toad has used ChattyG, hasn’t he!” complained market insights lead Trevor, as he held his ticket up to the bright fluorescent office lights and reread the name, ‘Phar Lap’.

“He definitely bloody has,” whined another colleague, as they read ‘Makybe Diva’ off their sweep ticket.

Managing to piss off the entire floor of office colleagues, it’s believed intern Levi’s great screw up is just another example of the 22-year-old's habit of outsourcing every single work related task to the brain of an LLM computer.

And having now royally pissed off all his colleagues, it’s believed Levi is not likely to pass probation.

“He’s got a once in a career chance to join a leading firm, and he’s squirrelling it away cos he think he’s above taking some scissors to a newspaper,” said Trevor, as he tossed his swap ticket into a bin.

“I’m going to the newsagent and getting the Betoota Telegraph, they’ll be doing a proper office friendly lift out. I’ll cut it up and arrange the sweep myself.”
