NSW Blues SuperCoach Laurie Daley has today provided a stunning retort to allegations that his team have fucked it again this year.
With the Blues throwing away a solid lead in a potential series clinching game whilst the majority of the bench froze their testes off on the sideline - Daley says it's all about creating a legacy.
Fronting the press after the game, Daley explained how cool it will be to win a decider up at Suncorp.
“How good you want to be?” Laurie Daley asked the media.
“Do you want to be remembered? Win a series up there in a decider and you’ll be remembered for all time.”
The introspective comments have raised the ire of Blues fans, who would actually just much rather win the series in the first 2 games - given how many series they've lost in recent years.
Speaking exclusively to The Advocate this morning, Daley continued to double down on the desire to create legacy.
"Mate, you don't wanna win down there in front of 90,000 Queenslanders and allies," said Laurie.
"You wanna win in front of them at their spiritual home."
When pressed on whether he planned to take a bench up to Queensland, Laurie was pensive.
"Really depends on how the game unfolds," said the deep thinker.
"I might just leave the boys with the impression that there is no bench, so they really dig deep and go hard."
More to come.
