The Premier of Victoria has today stared down the state's media as the scandal around The Big Build continues to grow.
Jacinta Allan has told the media pack that she's happy to have a chat to anyone about the Big Build, and answer anyyyyy questions they might have.
All they have to do is come down to the Labor clubhouse at an agreed time for a bit of a chin wag.
"I'm sure we'll be able to nut it out and iron out any concerns these pesky journalists might have," smiled Allan.
The offer for an intimate chat about the state of Victoria's landmark infrastructure project comes as allegations continue to grow that the government is lining the pockets of organised crime.
A report by the Age this morning alleged that CFMEU officials had appointed criminals to major roles within Big Build firms.
For those outside the sovereign state of Victoria, the Big Build is a massive initiative that was brought to life in 2015 to roll out significant infrastructure projects - which depending upon who you ask has cost 100 or 200 billion Vic rubles.
The Build has seen massive cost blowouts, with an interim report tendered to Queensland's Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU earlier this year estimating the actions of the CFMEU had cost the Victorian taxpayer around $15 billion.
The coupling of massive cost blowouts with allegations that organised crime groups are lining up at the trough has seen Allan face her biggest test yet.
Speaking to The Advocate this afternoon, Allan said we can come have a chat in private with her if we wanna be 'gronks about it.'
"Nah come have a chat down at the clubhouse. 5pm this arvo," smiled Allan, who has been seen sporting a couple new facial and neck tattoos.
"Got a few people from the Big Build who are keen as for a yarn."
"See ya tonight."
More to come.
