Argentina has taken the next stop towards kicking off war with the Poms again, by unveiling a stunning limited edition retro kit for the potential future conflict.
President Javier Milei revealed the majestic 1986 World Cup themed jersey, which his nation wore to victory over the Brits (courtesy of the Hand of God and the Goal of the Century) a few years after the initial edition of the Malvinas conflict.
The 10 week war between Argentina and England over the The Falklands/Las Islas Malvinas has understandably been an incredibly sore point between the two countries ever since.
The Argies caused the topic to flare up again after their recent World Cup win over the Poms which saw the players hoist a banner that said 'Las Malvinas' was Argentinian.
President Javier Milei then warned last month he could “act swiftly” to “recover” the islands, which he claimed were “under illegal foreign occupation” by the UK.
The Argentinian government has now begun legal action seeking to stop the exploration of oil and gas fields north of the Falkland Islands in an escalating row with the UK - who have in turn simulated their first full noise war games on the islands in the a long time.
While conflict is probably unlikely, the completely fucked nature of both the British and Argentinian economies is potentially enough of a tinder box to ignite a war over some oil fields.
"Yeah pretty dope jersey," explained local South Betoota Polytechnic Geopolitical expert Henry Rothwell this morning.
"Obviously would not work very well on the land in combat, but looks awesome and could probs to a job in the amphibious arena."
"Definitely keen to get my hands on one so I can Vinted it in 30 years before the 3rd edition."
More to come.
