High Net Worth Individuals Continue To Fight Tax Changes In The Interest Of Poor Young Aussies

In a stirring story from the business world this week, the altruistic individuals who sit atop Australia's rich list are keeping the good fight going.

As Communist Treasurer Jim Chalminsky tries to push his punitive budget legislation through parliament, the nation's highest net worth individuals are keeping the pressure on.

From Gina Rinehart to Scott Farquhar to CEOs of startups looking to sell their company for eye watering amounts, the top end of town are making sure to look out for the interest of poor Aussies - particular young poor Aussies.

The keeping on of the pressure comes as the business, political and media class continue to insist that these changes will most impact young Aussies trying to get ahead.

While one would assume that housing prices immediately going backwards would actually be a good thing for young Aussies trying to get them self a slice of their human rights - that and the changes to CGT are actually a devastating blow according to those with enough wealth to influence the media cycle.

"We aren't railing against these changes for ourselves," said one local CEO, speaking on the condition of anonymity today.

"We are doing it for the good of the working class Australian."

"You know, for the retail workers who are on the verge of starting their own tech business and selling it for 10 million dollars in 2 years time, who will have to pay an unfair amount of tax."

"Or the hairdressing apprentice who wants to put all that extra money she has left over into a high risk share portfolio with multiple 10 baggers in it - that the government is then going to steal from her."

"Unfortunately, these people don't understand how badly the changes are going to effect them, so we need to keep the pressure on the government."

More to come.
