Fans of the popular White Lotus series have today been left feeling intrigued, after imagery was leaked from the set of Season 4.

With a release date set for the end of the year or maybe the start of next, photos from the filming have hit the media overnight.

Initially pitched as searing social commentary on wealthy individuals set in the French Riviera, the photos have revealed that this season is actually set in Sicily, featuring real people.

It will however be complete with the usual perverted love trysts, cruel and dehumanising treatment of hospitality staff and murderous sub-plots of the psychotic ultra-rich.

This time though, the series will focus on the power dynamic between dystopian billionaires oligarchs and their loyal lackey’s of far-right populist politics.

Returning to the scene of Season 2, the show is apparently set to feature Australians again - but this time around, the Aussies are Gina Rinehart, Pauline Hanson and all of the yes men and women around them.

The revelation follows images coming out of Grand Hotel San Pietro in the resort town of Taormina, Sicily - where Rinehart was spotted bobbing around the pool.

Pauline Hanson was also snapped heading poolside to chat to her boss after a big week of talking to UK noise merchants on the pay role of billionaires seeking to divide and conquer - with a huge acting stint ahead of her.

The series will also be the first where the characters are actually real people, with the ground breaking show blurring the lines between satire and reality.

Initially concerns had apparently been raised about Pauline's ability to film a whole season given her parliamentary commitments, however that was hosed down after producers were informed that her attendance isn't required.

It has been confirmed though that Gina does see herself as a bit of a Jennifer Coolidge, with the billionaire looking to bring a bit of pizzaz to the psychological thriller.

More to come.
