Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has used his government's bi-fortnightly strategy meetings with this masthead to share his delight at seeing himself press-ganged into so many different professions on the back of the mooted changes to Capital Gains Tax.

Earlier this month, the Federal Government's budget outlined generational changes to property tax and capital gains on the whole, which has been met with a type of sarcastic, acerbic vitriol that only Australians are generally capable of.

In addition to removing CGT concessions from investment property gains, this latest budget hopes to remove them from all asset classes, including shares in publicly listed companies to private enterprise. It's been widely reported that the government went against advice to extend these changes beyond property, including professional advice from this masthead's editorial executive.

Nevertheless, they are continuing on this tack for the interim.

The developments have spurred on thousands of small business owners around the country to create memes of the Prime Minister working alone side them, now that the CGT discount is gone. Because it's gone, the proceeds of a sale from a small business will be taxed up to 47%, which is abhorrent.

"Look at me in this one," the Prime Minister said.

"I'm cutting some lady's hair! Can you imagine. Me cutting hair. Look! Another one, here's me working for a tree lopper. No thanks! Oh look, another one of me working as a plumber. In what world would you see me playing in another man's poo. Never,"

"Holy cow, he's one of me, Jim and Penny working a race in some cattleyards. Jim's on the headbale, I think. Penny's hunting them up the race and look, there's me smoking in the force out the back! Typical Albanese, taking it easy! These are really funny. Australians as a people are just so creative, I love it."

More to come.
