For most Australians the opportunity to marvel at the power of a Dyson is limited to the airport bathroom experience.
However, Betoota Heights man Joe Carmen believes that a powerful hand dryer might not be all that it's cracked up to be.
“Nothing beats a stack of paper towels mate, nothing!”
“These fancy hand dryers are just a hoity-toity status symbol”“Seeing a stack of crisp paper towels is ecstasy and nothing leaves your hands dryer,” he said.
Mr Carmen conceded that a big beautiful stack of paper towels isn’t without its flaws.
“Look some people are gonna take the piss”
“Especially towards the end of the night, some of the pile ends up on the floor, or on the roof, or god forbid someone just the racks the entire stack”
“You can regulate paper towel consumption by using one of those metal lock boxes with the grated teeth but that’s not true freedom,” he said.
Despite their drawbacks, Mr Carmen insisted that a big stack beats a hand dryer any day of the week.
"A stack of paper towels is like an unobstructed view of the sun setting over an ocean, it’s temporary but beautiful”
“The blowers are useless mate”“If you want my honest opinion, I think people should strip them for copper because that’s all they're good for,” he said.
More to come.
