A cash-strapped father of four has much on his mind this week, as he contemplates how to best spend his limited disposable income.
With a huge surprise Bon Jovi tour announced this week, it’s believed 39 year old Nambour man Brad Hooley is running the numbers, to see if he’ll have the dollars to fly down to Sydney, in the same calendar year he witnesses the return of The Finger.
Having just splashed out several hundreds of dollars to see his favourite band play at the Brissy Showgrounds, Brad’s finances are reportedly looking a little slim.
“I reckon I can squirrel away about $50 a month at the moment, which will all vanish by the time I get through Christmas. Especially when I’m hoping to take all the kids to a BBL game over Summer, and that’s not cheap either.”
Doing his best to manage the family bills, mortgage repayments and put food on the table for his growing family, Brad has privately told The Advocate that he might need to start doing a few quiet cashies on the side, and tell the odd white lie, if he’s to tick of all his bucket list shows in 2027.
“The Missus won’t be happy, I’m going to have to claim that the Bon Jovi thing is actually part of a Sydney bucks party,” Brad told our reporter, as he listed several old garden tools and his spare garage fridge on Marketplace.
“As for the second Finger tickets, I think I’ll just buy em’ and say that I got the second ticket free from my banking mate who has VIP privileges. It’s gonna be a big year!”
