A Betoota Heights father of three has today let the family know some much-needed good news.
This comes after the Thomas clan descended on the family’s 4-bedroom double garage slice of blonde brick paradise for their fortnightly family dinner and dose of watered down media propaganda.
With tidbits of gossip, a few arguments about the state of the world and existence or nonexistence of furries in schools set to take centre stage - Barry made sure to get in first and let everyone know that the new neighbours next door are ‘good eggs.’
That revelation follows their adherence to the Unofficial Neighbourhood Etiquette Act 2026 - with a short and jovial introduction from the new couple after moving in.
“Yeah, young couple, Angus and Stella I think. He’s an absolute ripper bloke that Angus,” said Barry.
“Wants to have a beer sometime too haha,” continued Barry eagerly misplacing the throwaway line offered up by his new neighbour.
With Barry’s kids exchanging looks over the glowing character reference of a person dad met yesterday, it’s believed the allegations do however carry weight.
Local Behavioural Psychologist at South Betoota Polytechnic Alistair Harding confirmed that Barry’s inklings are in fact, founded in fact.
“I mean, if you look at the latest research on Neighbourhood Etiquette, coming over and saying g’day is a pretty strong indicator of good character,” said Harding in regard to the Youi research which surveyed over 2,000 Aussies on the unwritten rules that reflect a uniquely Australian approach to neighbourhood living.
“Apparently this young couple’s got a dog which they’ve bothered to train as well.”
“Not some yappy designer dog either”
“I also get the feeling we won't have to worry about them throwing any loud parties into the early hours either; they seem like the kind of people you'd actually want as your new neighbours."
