Current Dating Climate Leaves Local Woman Feeling Like The Green And Orange Gummy Worm

31 weeks into the year and Georgie Bert (25) is on the verge of giving up on love entirely.

After 47 failed Hinge dates, the Betoota Heights local is beginning to believe her Prince Charming might not really exist.

“It’s a dire situation, I’ll say that. I even swiped on a guy that had his interests listed as beer, fishing and pokies,” she said, shuddering, “and yes his first photo was him holding a fish.”

“Anyway. I’m quite ashamed of that so let’s not spend too much time on it. Basically, I move through dozens of questions about what I do for work every week, end up organising maybe a dinner or coffee for the weekend, and all for him to be quite possibly the most boring person I’ve ever encountered. Every time.”

“Or I get straight up ghosted. Or told I’m a great chick but they’re not looking for a relationship at the moment. Which, by the way, is an absolute cop out and never true.”

“I don’t know. It just makes me feel like the orange and green gummy worm of the pack. No one wants the green and orange worm. Everyone wants the blue and red one. And if there’s none of those left, then the red and yellow will do.”

“It’s like, why bother even including the green and orange worm? Like why is a Turkish delight even in the Favourites pack?”

“Anyway. Enough with the Melodrama. OMG speaking of, 100% Lorde’s best album. I've actually got more more date tonight before I become a hermit, so maybe I should put that on the speaker while I get ready. Maybe that's what I need to break this curse.”

More to come.
