The Prime Minister has today allowed himself to be humbled, after learning from recent social media posts that neither he - nor any of his 96 MPs and economic advisors - actually know how the world works.

This comes as Aussie comedian Dave "Hughesy" Hughes continues to launch blistering attacks on the Albanese government over his perceived lack of economic foresight and general incompetence.

Hughesy's number one gripe appears to be the government's controversial changes to capital gains tax (CGT) and negative gearing, which he believes has left Australians angry.

As a career radio and TV presenter who previously worked as labourer before taking his stand-up comedy seriously, Hughesy has recently pivoted to embracing the sweet, sweet dopamine hits of social media political punditry.

But it's not just the lacklustre economics that Hughesy has found himself forced to publicly criticise, it appears that the 55-year-old also has a big problem with the political strategies of our current second-term majority government that he himself voted for.

The stand-up comedian said the budget was "bang out of order" and that "you cannot make a change to the tax system that big without taking it to the election".

While Hughesy is known for his often deadpan and surly brand of comedy, it has become clear to his growing online audience that his grievance-based social media political commentary has even more cut through.

However, this seemingly reluctant yet desperate foray into defending Australia - from economic vandals - is about much more than just about riding high on the warm hug of the algorithm.

And it seems that the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has noticed Hughesy's passion.

It has been confirmed by the Prime Minister's office that, as of today, the former co-panelist from Network Ten's The Project will be looped into all high-level discussions surrounding economic policy - as the Labor Government attempts to utilise their super-majority in the lower house and finally introduce tax reforms that may shift the Australian psyche

Hughesy has reportedly relocated to Canberra, and has today joined the Prime Minister for a roundtable with both Treasurer Jim Chalmers and RBA Governor Michelle Bullock - a highly decorated economist who has also received her fair share of sprays when Hughesy Loses It.

It is being reported that Hughesy will pick up a side gig as the Brekky announcer on MIX106.3 - just so he can break a sweat in between his piss-easy work as a leading economic advisor.
