Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is reportedly preparing to announce his resignation from Federal Parliament, after nearly six years in the job.

Labor sources close to the Prime Minister says this was not a decision that was taken lightly, as the Albanese Government have only just begun announcing major reforms.

This news follows the explosive 2026 Federal Budget, which has caused unprecedented and emotionally charged backlash from an array of different voters.

While the government's move to hose down a critical housing crisis has been received well by the vast majority of Australians who aren't wealth-hoarding investors.

However, it was the small business owners who appear to be the most rattled by an unexpected side-swipe - as the long-awaited changes to capital gains taxes on property assets will be extended to small to medium enterprises that were hoping to one day sell.

Seemingly overnight, thousands of suburban and regional Australian small business owners have taken to social media to announce their company's 'new business partner' who will now owns 47% of their business.

According to these posts, every business has the same bloke as partner. Anthony Albanese - and it appears that the Prime Minister is reaching absolute capacity.

It is being reported that on top of his duties in Parliament House and abroad, the PM is exhausted from also running thousands of hairdressers, earthmoving businesses, sheet metal fabricators and family-owned cafes and gyms.

It is not yet clear which Labor frontbencher will replace Albanese as PM, but if the rumours are true, then it seems those same businesses might take on a new MAJORITY partner in the shape of Australian first communist Prime Minister Jim Chalmers!
