After the huge success of The Betoota Advocate's word of the week making it online for the first time ever last week, the online team has decided to run it back.

Following thousands of messages, emails and letters commending the use of the word apricity and putting forward other suggestions, we have decided to head to the northern hemisphere this week.

Our word is Feierabendbier.

And before you ask, no, it is not a made up word.

It is the unique compound noun the German's use to describe the beer after work.

Translating specifically to after work beer, Feierabendbier is the marvellous beer you would have after finishing work.

The word represents the distinct boundary between work and personal life in German culture and acts as a small reward for a hard day's work.

It also marks the official start of the evening, which is also nice as a concept.

So, wherever you are, whoever you are, all over the world, if it's your thing, enjoy a Feierabendbier.

More to come.
