“Well Thank God That’s Over” Say Broncos Players As They Rip Into A Few Breakfast Bintangs

The breakfast Bintangs are flowing at the W Bali in Seminyak this morning as the hotel welcomes a whole squad of new guests.

Fresh off the plane from Brisvegas, it’s alleged half of the Brisbane Broncos side have already made their end of season pilgrimage to Bali, and are looking forward to soaking up some island time.

After a horror 2026 campaign which saw the team go from last year’s premiers to absolute cellar dwellers, it’s understood the playing group are very excited to put a year of bad headlines behind them. 

From the head scratching coaching decisions, to the failed Adam Reynolds farewell and the fact the team lost 13 from their last 15 games, many of which were played on their home turf at Suncorp, key players are expected to put their well paid playing salaries to use this week, and enjoy the comforts of $600 a night hotel rooms.

Speaking to Kadek Adnyana, a local Balinese chef who boils the breakfast sausages at The W, the resort has already upped their catering order to accommodate the high profile guests.

“We had a whole football team arrive last night, big men, big families…” Kadek told The Advocate.

“We’ve had to order more eggs, more pork, more fruits, they keep emptying the buffet before the second sitting of guests.”

With the final round of the NRL season playing out this weekend, and the AFL already being wrapped up, the popular resort says the kitchen will be working overtime to feed the fleet of 120kg athletes who are excited to enjoy the deep fried foods their club dieticians ban during the regular season.

“Many players come to our resort, we are very popular. Apparently the Parramatta Sydney Eels will be here for Monday. I’m pretty excited, hopefully they don’t mind me asking for selfies.”
