Weird Smelling Op Shop Knit Still Sitting Untouched At The Back Of Wardrobe

A colourful op shop knit that a local Betoota woman thought was a good idea 3 years ago is reportedly still sitting untouched at the back of her wardrobe. 

The jumper, which was purchased from Vinnies by 38 year old Tiana Fielder, is a deep mustard colour with two navy blue elbow patches for a little pizzazz.

“I don’t know if I ever even liked it in the first place, I think it was just the only half decent thing I saw after going op shopping with a friend for a couple hours,” Tiana explained to our reporter. 

“It always smells moist for some reason, you know that musty op shop smell.” 

Even after trying it on with a couple outfits over the years, she’s never been able to commit to it. 

“I think we all go through a phase of wanting to be a cool knit person but honestly just give me a brand new zip up fleece that actually keeps me warm and doesn’t smell like Nan’s garage.” 

The musty mustard is also joined in the untouched back shelf by a second hand navy blue turtleneck and a revealing cover up Tiana got in Europe when she was 23. 

When our reporter asked Tiana if she would ever give back some of these clothes she’s forgotten were there she refused. 

“Like yeah I don’t wear them but you never know what’s going to come back in style.” 

“I majorly regret getting rid of my ballet flats back in 2009.” 

“Mustard knits might be the in thing in 2027!”
