Victorian Libs Left With No Option But To Load Jeff Kennett Up On Dexies And 'Sleepy Joe' Him Into Leadership

The state of Victoria is unwell, it can be confirmed this morning.

A fact widely recognised by those inside and out, the political landscape is one high profile facet of Victoria that is particularly showing the engine light.

With the state's premier resigning after being beset by consistent allegations of widespread corruption within her government's Big Build, it looks set to be a noisy couple of months until Victorians head to the polls in November.

A new leader has been appointed in Ben Carroll, but whether he can shift the perception that he is just another face to a corrupt government that has been left unchecked for a bit too long remains to be seen.

However, it isn't the red side of politics that is battling down south, with the blue bloods also marred by in fighting, political drama and a rather vague set of messaging.

While Jess Wilson, the current leader of the Victorian Liberals seems to have managed to get a bit of name and face recognition, some are alleging she's spending to much time trying to make meme videos that only reach people who won't vote for her anyway, or are being run out of a bot factory in Indonesia.

As a result, the old boys at Liberal HQ are reportedly pulling out the big guns.

And the biggest gun of all is the man who headed a landslide Liberal victory in the 90s.

"Yeah, we are stress testing his body with copious amounts of Dexies to see if we can roll him back out as Opposition Leader," said a Liberal insider.

"If we can Sleepy Joe him into leadership and then dose him to the eyeballs, he might get enough cut through until November, and the we can just wheel him back to the Long Room at the MCG."
