Anthony Albanese has sought to flex Australia's muscle on the global stage this week.
With the Prime Minister visiting New York, Australia has officially launched its bid for a spot on the United Nation's Security Council.
The PM says the spot on the council will be good for Australia's domestic security and will help ease cost of living pressures (*raises eyebrows) - because we will be able to shape issues that effect us.
However, while many in the media are meh on the whole thing in general, the PM's pick for the role has drawn some questions.
While the seats are technically held by member states and not individuals, Australia has revealed the individual who will staunch the rest of the word for Australia.
That man is Sione Fakafuna (25).
Despite not having held any role in government or the military, Prime Minister Albanese said that Sione is the man for the job.
"I don't care if you run Russia or Mauritius, you try and push Sione around," said Albanese of the 25-year-old Logan man who moonlights as an inside-centre when he's not steadying the ship at the pub and nightclub.
While known to many as one of the nicest blokes on the face of planet earth, Sione's ability to flick the switch when necessary makes him a no brainer for the UN Security Council role, said Albanese.
"The toko will do us proud," finished Albo.
"Shot gee."
