A French Quarter man is in a critical condition at Royal Betoota Base Hospital this afternoon after placing his head inside a microwave oven.
It’s understood by police that an argument between two flatmates at a Rue de Branlette address has resulted in one of the men jamming a spoon in the door latch of a large LG microwave, setting it to defrost before placing his head into the oven.
Police will allege that Paul John Bradshaw was ‘fed-up’ with flatmate Sam Davidson watching a rerun of The Masked Singer, just hours after watching it the night before.
Paul was kind enough to watch the show before asking to watch something on the ABC after, to which Sam said ‘no’ and took the TV’s power cord into his room when he went to bed.
When Sam was watching the show again today, Paul said he’d rather microwave his own brain than watch another second of The Masked Singer, which prompted Sam to tell him to do it.
So Paul did it and now he’s in the hospital.
