A local man has today come under light fire from his mates, after attempting to share some state of the art biometric data with them.
Alex Simpson, a moderately popular local man copped a few drivebyes this afternoon, after trying to regal the group with his sleep score.
Assuming that anyone gave a fuck, Alex quickly ran through his sleep score from last night, with accompanying update of his body battery.
For those able to discern when they've had a shit sleep (because they had a shit sleep and they know that), sleep scores and body batteries are two of the features of the new Garmin Generation and the endless desire for data and body hacking that the modern desk jockey so desperately needs.
With a body battery dropping to single digits after 7 random beers and dinner catching up with a few mates last night, Alex said it's just nice to have a bit of objective data on how he slept.
"Cool mate, I don't really remember asking, but thanks for that," said one mate, who doesn't need a watch to tell him that he doesn't have particularly restorative sleep after a few midweek beers.
"I'll call you an ambo if you want mate, that body battery sounds dangerously low," chimed in another, who also doesn't need a watch to tell him he's run down after canning it for a few weekends in row.
With Alex then receiving a defence for the need for the state of the art data set from a few other Garmin bros, the group agreed to move on, with consistent sledging to come in future.
