A veteran high school teacher in our state's Deep North has today let out yet another heavy sign.
The long standing principal of Townsville Central West Park School has confirmed to The Advocate that it's been a fairly large week.
"Mate, don't get me wrong, it's fantastic to see all the kids and families get dressed up and get around the Book Week Parade we have here," said Mr Mozer.
"But I'm still somewhat of a purist at heart you know..."
"And sometimes I do find myself questioning the merit of a Robux (sic) costume."
"I also was not aware that Jason Taumalolo was also a book character," laughed Mr Mozer.
Mr Mozer's comments come after one of the members of 3c, Jaxton Melrose, turned up this morning in full Cowboys kit.
"I've let the whole thing fly, but I did tell him to take the footy boots off and put his other shoes back 0n."
"And look, I'm a Cows man myself, and I'll be cheering the boys on as they put 50 on the Tigers this weekend."
"But, I really do think we need to start bringing in some restrictions with the book week dress ups," he laughed.
"Unless I'm wrong, and Jason Tauamalolo has written a kids book about footy which he stars in..."
More to come.
