Tigers Fan Enjoys Rare Weekend Off From Copping It In The Group Chat

A long suffering Wests Tigers fan is enjoying a rare, and much needed break from bullying this weekend, as he enjoys 72 hours without his team stepping out on the park.

Having watched his beloved side lose seven of it’s last eight matches, along with constantly being in the headlines for player mismanagement, coaching troubles and general club fuck-aroundery, Milo Kennedy (38) is finally getting a weekend off.

Of course it’s been a roller coaster of a year for poor Milo, who started the season bright-eyed and bushy tailed, after seeing the Tigers bring some pride back into their stripes with several big early season wins against the Cows, Raiders and Knights.

But now that the Tigers have done the most Tigers thing ever, and completely cooked their season and their chance for a finals rebirth, the Balmain-aligned fan says it’s nice to not be getting tagged in any NRL memes, or called out in his fantasy football chat for supporting a dud club.

“This must be what it feels like to be a Panther's fan, everyone’s got no chat,” said Milo, scanning the home screen of his phone, which was void of any notifications.

“Not even NRL360 have wasted a segment on us this week, all the journos have been too busy bashing the Broncos.”

Sitting grim on 16th on the NRL ladder, with a mathematical chance of still getting the spoon, Milo says as long as the Dragons woo up on their late season improvement, he should be clear of hearing wooden spooner sledges all summer.

“Surely the Sharkies and Doggies pump St George, there’s final appearances on the line.”

“Us Tigers actually play the Dragons next week, so if we lose that game my phone might short circuit, I better enjoy this peace while it lasts.”
