The new reality for Australia is hitting home all around the country this week.
From impoverished property investors to the 5% that make up the top tax bracket who will now have to pay 47.5% on the profit they make from the share portfolios, it's been a tough week for all.
And for local man Corey Holmes, who's been fighting on behalf of a tax bracket he probs isn't going to enter anytime soon unless he gets one of the last jobs on the mines, the Treasurer has now come for one of his last remaining sanctuaries.

When pressed on whether his bye round planning was maybe not up to scratch, Corey laughed.
