The pheromones were pumping in beer gardens across the Harbour City yesterday, as thousands of young Sydneysiders began pouring into pubs after their milestone 14 kilometre achievement.

Over 90,000 runners took part in Sydney's iconic City2Surf fun run on Sunday, with many then immediately kicking off after parties at the finish line.

After months of physical preparation and nutrition targets, the finishers first swarmed cafes for their mid-winter cafeine fix - before their endorphins took them directly to the late-morning dance floors of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

From there, things got a little bit primal - as thousands of warm bodies began bumping and grinding in their activewear.

With medals on their chest, and offical City2Surf pubs pegged to their torsos, contestants began looking for another trophy to bring home from the fun run.

Extra fleets of cab drivers were put on the streets yesterday afternoon, as it became clear that there was a high demand for discreet and seamless exits - as the city played host to thousands of mid-arvo stands.

Right across Sydney today, contestants are arriving at their workplaces with sheepish grins - as their general City2Surf smugness is magnified by the fact that they managed to finish the day with a bit of afternoon delight - all before they even had a shower.
