Suburban Woolies Ram Raided In Alleged Ooshie Theft Overnight

Betoota's French Quarter Woolworths is currently the scene of a crime scene investigation.

This follows a stunning ram raid last night that has left the community shocked.

Police have confirmed that at approximately 3:49 am last night, a Hyundai i30 was recorded driving at pace into the front entrance of the store.

A couple of balaclava'ed women where then seen jumping out of the car, before taking sledge hammers to the checkouts and cigarette sections of the store.

Shockingly, a couple of kids in Oodies were also seen getting out of the car, before assisting with the heist.

While the ciggie section was busted open, police say only a single packet of darts was stolen.

However, they have confirmed that a 'significant number' of Ooshies have been taken from the store.

"Police estimate that Ooshies with the street value of $345,000 were taken from the store last night," confirmed the Betoota Local Area Command via a statement.

"We can confirm that a Flocked Bullseye Ooshie was one of the collectibles taken last night."

The raid comes as the booming grey and black market Ooshie trade takes off, with concerns the rival Ooshie collectors may kick off a tit for tat collectibles war.
