The Australian sporting and online community is up in arms this week, over an ad released by an American sportsbetting company.
For those that don't spend that much time on the internet, American wagering platform Novig has caused a serious stir by releasing a highly sexualised ad featuring the highly sexualised sex icon Sydney Sweeney.
The ad has of course drawn global attention, given it features arguably the most prominent female sex icon of the modern era, and has also drawn criticism from all corners of the globe.
It's yet to be confirmed why exactly we are speaking about an ad for an American wagering company trying to cater to its degenerate piece of shit customers with a degenerate piece of shit ad using a hot chick.
Despite this, we are speaking about it, as countless sportspeople, politicians and commentators get fired up about a piece of content that arguably, maybe, could have just been treated for what it is, and let to go through the keeper.
However, it's yet to be confirmed how teeing off on this online wagering platform no one in Australia had heard about until this week is going to change anything - other than get the marketing guys at said wagering platform a nice pay rise.
"I mean, it's a yucky ad from a yucky industry catering to yucky customers on the other side of the world," said one local sports consumer who has attended multiple women's sports fixtures in the last couple of years.
"Like it's gross and shit, but I'm not really sure it's setting women's sport back?"
"Do they want gambling companies using women's sport in their promos?"
"I'm confused."
"I could be wrong though."
"Just seems like a waste of energy to me."
More to come.
