Long standing geographical feuds are expected to be put aside this week, as the Rugby League community gathers to celebrate a 100 games for the iconic Jai Arrow.

With the Sydney Roosters set to play the Rabbitohs at Allianz Stadium on Friday night, it’s expected there won’t be a dry eye in the house, as the inspirational Queenslander runs out for Souths and officially notches up Game 100.

And in an even more heartwarming act of solidarity between the two foundational; clubs, who famously hate each other's guts, it’s believed the Sydney Roosters will concede that Allianz Stadium is officially the home of Rabbitohs, for this week only.

In a joint press conference from the steps of Rugby League HQ this morning, Roosters head honcho Nick ‘Paperbags’ Politis has told the press pack that this Friday, Souths have permission to call it home.

“I know historically there’s been bitter division about the semantics of calling it a home game, but for this week, Souths can have it.”

“Some things are just bigger than footy...”

Speaking to the press pack, Souths representatives say they’re grateful for the decision.

“We’d like to thank the Roosters, it’s this kind of stuff that makes footy bigger than a game."

“And we’ll leave all our bickering and cat-nipping until next year, for now let’s all get around Jai.”
