Report: Vodafone Users Probably Wouldn’t Have Even Noticed The Outage If It Wasn’t Announced

Vodafone is this morning experiencing a mass network outage affecting millions of Australians.

The disturbance, which was reportedly caused by an outage at one of their network hubs a few hours ago, has left customers operating on SOS mode, unable to make calls or access mobile data.

Though Vodafone has said they're ‘urgently investigating’ the issue, they probably should have said nothing at all given Vodafone connection usually dwindles somewhere between non-existent and one bar of 4G.

“Yeah honestly if I didn’t check the news this morning there’s like no chance I would've known,” said one Vodafone user.

Another says they thought their phone was just struggling to reconnect after entering Woolies on the way to work.

“Supermarkets are literally a complete deadzone for Vodafone so yeah didn’t really think too much of it.”

Although Vodafone has a handy Network Status Checker on their website, millions of their customers unfortunately couldn't access it given the whole no internet thing this morning.

However, stores in major cities across the nation say the in-person customer complaints have not exceeded the average amount today.

“Yeah it’s really not a new thing. We have people in here every day saying they’ve got no phone service. I’m always like well idk what to tell you like why did you go with Vodafone lol,” said customer service representative Mikey Dodie.

At the time of this article, connection is apparently slowly being restored - the difference likely being one additional bar.

More to come.
