Report: Farley Only 2-3 Weeks Away From Sitting As An Independent At This Rate

Member for Farrer David Farley is a matter of weeks away from leaving One Nation according to a leaked bombshell report from within the party.

After attempting to run for the Nationals, Liberals, Labor, Shooters And Fishers, David Farley was able to win One Nation preselection for the seat of Farrer, which was vacated by Sussan Ley's resignation. In the months that have followed, the report suggests that Farley has been doing his level best to rub the fur the wrong way.

Earlier this week, Farley suggested that One Nation's immigration target "wouldn't be that different from Labor" - a remark that has caused an insurmountable headache for party janitor Barnaby Joyce, who told reporters assembled at his top ramp in Danglemah this morning that Farley was confused.

"He had a seniors moment," he said.

"Got confused. He's only new and is bound to make mistakes. This is one of them. One Nation is committed to slashing immigration and only taking the good ones. Rest assured, we will be making sure there are less worthless Poms, sheepish Chinese and no more rude Indians in your neighbourhood if elected."

Joyce then offered reporters an ice-cold stubbie of VB and a John Player Special Blue. This masthead accepted those gifts.

This internal conflict places Farley roughly 2-3 weeks away from resigning, in the One Nation elected official to independent member pipeline. A clear path has been slashed through the lantana for Farley to follow.

Under a reasonably strict definition, there's around 20 One Nation MPs/senators elected under the party banner who subsequently broke with the party. Shaun Nelson, Dolly Pratt, Ken Turner, John Kingston, Jeff Knuth, Harry Black, David Dalgleish, Bill Feldman, Jack Paff and Peter Prenzler – all in Queensland. David Oldfield in NSW. Paddy Embry, John Fischer, Frank Hough and Charles Smith in WA. Federal senators Rod Culleton, Fraser Anning and Brian Burston. NSW MPs Mark Latham and Rod Roberts and South Australian MP Sarah Game.

Farley is set to join them by the October long weekend at the latest.
