"Replace Overpaid, Entitled FIFO Workers With Disposable Slaves": One Nation Apologises For Latest Gaffe As Pauline Reads Policy Idea From Gina Verbatim

A spokesperson from Barnaby Joyce's One Nation has "provided context" to a policy idea "taken out of context" this week after his deputy Pauline Hanson made a string of unsavoury remarks regarding workers.

Speaking to the Parliament House Press Gallery this morning in the corridor outside One Nation's rooms, Senator Hanson explained that her idea to replace "entitled" and "overpaid" fly-in-fly-out workers with "worthless" and "disposable" slaves was a policy idea from the party's figurehead Gina Rinehart.

"We love Gina for her raw and honest opinions," Hanson said.

"And from time to time, sometimes those opinions are unfiltered and they remain unfiltered until they arrive in front of me. My chief-of-staff James Ashby hands me bits of paper, from time to time, and on them are things for me to say and do. From time to time, what is on those pieces of paper is wrong. This week, it was an example of that happeneing,"

"Now I can see that this left-wing media will try to spin this for their own purposes, to be unfair to One Nation, and that's fine. Because everybody knows that it's not true. This actually did not happen, and if you read journalism from professionals, such as in the West Australian, Nightly or The Australian, you will not see anything about this, because it did not happen."

The Advocate reached out to defacto Opposition leader Barnaby Joyce for comment but have yet to receive a reply.
