Real Life Squid Games About To Kick Off

The Korean stock market is currently mirroring the Wests Tigers NRL team.

You could argue it is sinking as low as the Essendon Bombers AFL team, but it has recently experienced some relatively dizzying highs - so the parallel to the formerly Top 4 Wests Tigers who are now spectacularly imploding, has been confirmed as more apt.

This comes as the South Korean stock market (the Kospi) has crashed roughly 40% in the last 5 weeks.

The spectacular bust followed a spectacular boom which saw Koreans pump huge amounts of money into the stock market heavily reliant on a couple of tech companies.

That pump was courtesy of a government demand for Koreans to pump everything they could into the stock market (following last year's attempted coup), and the loosening of rules around using debt to invest in the market.

Unsurprisingly that rampant debt fuelled bull run has ended in the South Korean equivalent of a Pampalonian plaza.

Roughly 60% of investors who have done their arse are under the age of 30, with their dicey financial future turning into a complete nightmare.

That new class of financially fucked people (the majority of them young) is believed to be the catalyst for a new real life version of Squid Games - and not the weird reality tv one they tried to make previously.

"Yeah, we are going to have a large number of financially ruined people willing to risk it all for a shot at redemption," explained a shadowy figure behind the new venture.

"Forget the Enhanced Games, the Squid Games is going to blow your minds."

More to come.
