Real Estate Website Adds ‘Not Completely Riddled With Mould’ Search Filter For Aspiring Renters

A real estate website is being lauded today after introducing a new search filter for aspiring renters.

In a rare but welcome gesture, the website has added a ‘not completely riddled with mould’ filter to their search engine.

As inadequate living conditions have become the norm for the growing rental class it has become increasingly difficult to find a home that isn’t infested.

The Advocate sat down with mouldy home renter Isaac Lucas, an aspiring non mouldy home renter.

“As you can see my roof looks like a living breathing entity”

“It kinda looks like a mandarin that’s been forgotten about for a couple of months,” he chuckled.

“The dehumidifiers don’t really work either”

When Mr Lucas found out about the new search filter he was excited to test it out but was quickly disappointed.

“So turns out when you apply the filter to your search nothing comes up, at least in my price range”

“Admittley I’ve been looking for a French Quarter flat but I’d live in Betoota Ponds if it came to it … but those places are infested too, there's no escape,” he said defeatedly.

Mr Lucas said he and his housemates would continue their battle against the mould but conceded he’d rather live somewhere that was “safe to breathe inside”.

“We had the mould men come round and try to fix it but they told us that our home is probably a demolition job”

The Advocate reached out to the real estate website and asked if they were concerned about the lack of available housing stock for middle income earners who are searching for a bare minimum quality of living.

They have not yet responded for comment.
