QLD The Only State Who Won't Be Using Renewable Energy For Data Centres Because Of Course They Fucken Won't

The State of Queensland has once again laid down the gauntlet to the uppity Southerners who think they can just order everyone around.

With data centres one of the major policy topics of the week, QLD Premier David Crisafulli has secured a political win.

The weeks long scrap between the Federal and Queensland governments over the issue has seen Queensland and The Territory tell the feds to take a hike over the renewable energy requirement for the centres.

With the Southern and Western States falling into line (because they are also run by Labour governments) - Crisafulli has lead the charing in carving out that requirement for the northerners.

The extremely resource heavy data centres have raised serious concerns about their feasibility and impact upon local communities, the power grid and water supply.

In an effort to ensure major future headaches, the Feds have demanded that all Data Centres basically sort out their power and water supply.

However, they have also demanded that that power supply come from renewable energy.

Which of course has gone down like a Teal balloon in the north.

Queensland has strongly opposed that requirement and told the Feds to get fucked, because, of course they have.

The famously resource heavy state that is run by a party very pro fossil fuel consumption who HATE being told to do by the snobs South of the Tweed who think they know how everything works - have confirmed that it just ain't happening.

Seeking to keep a low profile in the Sunshine State that is also famous for its strong and emotional voting patterns at Federal Elections, Prime Minister Albanese has had to agree to play ball on this one - by saying 'that all states are different.'

However, he has thrown his Minister Chris Bowen under the bus, by ordering him to come out a short time ago and say there won't be any carve outs for Queensland.

Which is going to go down very well.
