A local man has today laughed in the face of the top end of town, after a rather large Melbourne Cup day.
Tony Hampton (32) did so yesterday and this morning after learning of RBA Governor Michele Bullock's pathetic attempts to bankrupt him.
"Haha mate, she's gonna have to squeeze a bit harder and quicker than that," laughed the engaged man who just pissed away another couple of grand yesterday.
This follows the RBA's announcement that they are raising the cash rate to 4.85%, in an effort to make the magic inflation numbers do what they want.
The blunt tool from the RBA that has been left with its hands tied by the government who is now trying to piñata them, has of course smacked millions across the head.
While many are trying to figure out if they will continue to be punished for the actions of the maniac in the White House and the widespread corporate profiteering at home, Hampton has just shrugged.
"My mortgage has gone up what, like 400 bucks a month?" he laughed.
"That was like 90 minutes of chasing ponies across the country yesterday."
"And all it takes is a couple of nice winners in a row, then I can up the stakes and make it all back."
"Bang a nice double digit roughie and there's my increased mortgage repayment right there," continued the man who has been blowing through his savings like there's no tomorrow as a result of the predatory behaviour of relatively unregulated multinational sports betting companies who have been given the green light by successive governments for nearly a couple of decades now.
More to come.
