Phins Agree To Carry The Weight Of Queensland On Their Shoulders After Qualifying For Finals

The Dolphins are this evening enjoying the greatest night in the club’s history (so far). 

After breaking their membership record earlier this week, the popular south east corner Cetaceas have officially (well pretty much) secured a place in NRL finals. 

The maiden finals berth for the NRL’s newest team has come in the most euphoric way possible, with a lovely win over the Broncos in a sold out ‘Battle for Brisbane.’ 

After going 24-0 down in the blink of an eye, the Phins finally decided to turn it on. Putting up 40 at nearly a point minute to lock in September footy.

Thanks to things like a couple of Hammer time tries and little Maxy Plath running like a mad man, the Dolphins ran out 40-32 winners in one of the most entertaining games of the season.

“Noooo it’ don get muh bettaaaa than thaaaaaaaaa,” said Dolphins star and former Broncos player Herbie Farnworth in his northern drawl after the game. 

“We’ll do it for Queenslan mayteeee” 

Those sentiments have been echoed by Dolphins fans all across Brissy and up to the Cowboys line. 

Fresh off sending the Bronx to Bali, the Dolphins have agreed to carry the hopes and dreams of Queensland upon their shoulders heading into September. 

“Yeah obviously the Cows are still a good chance, but look what happened last week…” said one local Phins fan this evening. 

“So given we are finally getting all our studs back and have had the loss we needed heading into finals, it’s all aboard the Phin Train.”
