In recent years, twin filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou have solidified themselves as masters of the horror genre with their two feature length films.

The brothers began as YouTubers, where they produced comedy horror videos under the channel name RackaRacka, earning themselves 7 million loyal subscribers.

In 2022, they announced their first full length film 'Talk To Me', which was distributed by A24, taking the world by storm.

3 years later, they did it again with 'Bring Her Back' - both of which were enough to scare even those who claim to be unaffected by horror movies.

Though the pair are currently working on a sequel to 'Talk To Me', titled ‘Talk 2 Me’, they have today announced some exciting news for horror fans and amateur occultists alike.

The twins’ next film will be based on the mystery that is Spook Hill in Mount Cotton, just outside of Brisbane. Specifically at midnight.

The hill has long attracted daring teenagers who recently got their P’s, and is one of Australia’s most baffling supernatural mysteries.

Drivers pull up to the bottom of the hill, turn the engine off, put their car in neutral, and the car starts being pulled uphill.

Though extremely boring people have tried to blame the phenomenom on an ‘optical illusion’ or something, we are going to choose to ignore that and say it is extremely fucking creepy.

There is also a cemetery nearby, and it almost feels like the car is being pushed at times.

Local woman Inga Pilly (31) says there’s few experiences that compare.

“Top 5 most terrifying experiences, okay yes I’ll list them for you: Number 5 watching 'The Babadook',” she said.

“Number 4 watching 'Talk To Me'. Number 3 doing the Giant Drop at Dreamworld. Wait no change that answer to the Buzzsaw.”

“Number 2 watching 'Bring Her Back'.”

“And Number 1. Doing Spook Hill at midnight at 16 years old. Not for the faint of heart.”

More to come.
