Middle Seat Passengers Now Legally Able To Claim Both Arm Rests

Key legislation to give middle seat passengers one positive of their horrific seat selection has finally passed through parliament.

Now travellers who left seat selection to the last minute, have legal ownership over both arm rests when sitting in a group of three.

Previously, aisle passengers had the convenience of getting up to go to the toilet when they needed and window passengers got to look out at spectacular views as well as leaning their head on the wall for extra comfort. Middle seat passengers would practically have no benefits whatsoever.

But now, hooray! Middle seat passengers can legally shove off annoying elbows from either side to comfortably sit on their flight.

Passengers around Australia are rejoicing at the news.

“I mean it’s the least they can do,” young female flyer, Jasmine Hellier told The Advocate.

“Have you tried sitting in a middle seat next to two big men that have to manspread?”

“It’s hell.”

Other passengers, think the change is completely unnecessary. 49 year old Qantas Club member, Jeremy Lowe believes people shouldn’t sit in the middle seat if they aren’t prepared for it.

“I’m sorry but I paid an extra $12 for my window seat and I would like to put my elbow down on the rest if I feel like it” Jeremy told our reporter.

Jeremy also believes that he can spread his leg out into the middle section if he feels like too.

More to come.
