A career politician hoping to be the next Prime Minister of Australia has today offered up another political response to another political scandal.

Pauline Hanson has come out to slam the media for 'twisting her words,' after she yesterday claimed that domestic violence is a two way street and that women in abusive relationships should just leave.

The literal comments that can be interpreted as meaning Pauline thinks domestic violence is a two way street and women in abusive relationships should just leave - apparently have been completely manipulated by the media.

The incident comes as the latest classic case of Pauline saying something grossly divisive and offensive before then accusing anyone criticising her of misrepresenting her.

It's yet to be clarified what it is exactly Pauline was trying to say, but the actual words that she did say have drawn all round criticism.

From across the political spectrum, the criticism has been levelled at Pauline for trying to politicise and trivialise an issue that affects one in four women and saw 2 women and 2 girls killed a few days ago in the space of a couple of days.

Her ability to stoop to new lows that many thought even Pauline wouldn't, has left the nation concerned about what might be coming next for the career noise merchant.
