“Oh God That’s Horrendous” Says Mum From Comfort Of Decade Old Fuzzy Dressing Gown

As Australian Fashion Week (AFW) gets underway, Mums around the nation are embracing their inner Tyra Banks from the comfort of their living room. 

Perhaps the most tenacious of them all is Pat Holmes (56) who has spent the last 24 hours regularly refreshing the AFW Instagram page on her Samsung Tablet.

The Betoota Heights resident says she looks forward to the week all year, maybe just as much as she does the Met Gala and the Oscars. 

Because although Pat is just fine with her career as a nurse, she says in another life, she was probably Anna Wintour. That's why she takes AFW as a very serious opportunity to honor this. 

“Some of them are real shockers,”

“Like this feathery number right here,” she said, handing her tablet to our reporter to see. 

“That is just horrendous.” 

She took a long sip from her instant coffee as the tablet was handed back to her. 

“I also saw this revolting yellowy-green suit piece set thingy-ma-jig, here, let me find it for you,” 

Pat began using her index finger to navigate to where she’d seen the so-called fashion crime. 

Our reporter welcomed the gap in conversation as a chance to change the topic. 

Yes, of course Pat had already seen The Devil Wears Prada 2 and yes, she loved it, what did you think of it? Meryl Streep is just fabulous isn’t she.
