As the cost of living crisis continues to bite the country, the nation's struggling billionaires are once again being left behind.

With the government proudly bragging about giving minimum wage employees a 6% pay-rise, its been confirmed that billionaires have only seen their wealth grow by a measly 3.8% over the last twelve months.

The 178 billionaires (that could be all of us if we worked hard and had the future benefit of CGT exemptions) saw a collective growth in wealth of just $25.6 billion over the last 12 months.

Barely enough to upgrade from unleaded to premium unleaded, the wealth growth equates to a measly $50,000 a second - all while they struggle under a cost of living crisis.

However, 3 million of the nation's bludgers working rewarding and fun jobs like childcare, cleaning, retail and hospo will be handed out a pay rise well above inflation!

The latest move has been slammed as being symptomatic of 'Jim and Albo's Australia' where people who strive to better the nation and create wealth are punished while those simply happy for a cheque get rewarded.

Australia's richest woman Gina Rinehart has yet to comment, but has readied her spokesperson Pauline Hanson to provide an emotional soundbite on the matter, which will likely blame immigrants.

More to come.
