A Betoota Heights woman is digging deep to avoid derailing an otherwise normal hangout with an urge every Harry Potter fan knows well.

Jessie and Mia, both 29, had been introduced this morning by their mutual friend Abi (30).

They hit it off straight away - largely thanks to Jessie’s personable nature.

About 7 minutes into the introduction, Mia had already decided Jessie was a clear cut Hufflepuff, no ifs or buts.

“She's such a Hufflepuff omg I just need to tell her, but I just don’t really know Jessie, what if she doesn’t receive it well? But like tbh Hufflepuff is the best house to be told you are by a stranger, because their whole thing is being like really sweet and kind. Like imagine if I was like ‘you’re definitely a Slytherin’,” she said.

“Like obviously real fans know that Slytherins are NOT evil and actually have some of the best people in their house, it’s honestly just about being smart but in a different way to Ravenclaw, anyway, people usually don’t receive that very well when you tell them they’re a Slytherin just cause of Voldemort and Draco and what not. Which also, justice for Draco.”

“Anyway. Actually, you know what, fuck it. I'm gonna tell her.”

Mia then turned away from our reporter, walked back to the table, and sat down next to Jessie.

“This is going to sound so random but you’re such a Hufflepuff,” she told her.

“Omggg yes I am! I’ve done the test. Are you a Ravenclaw?” Jessie asked.

“Omggg yessss I am how did you know!!!” Mia squealed.

With their fate written in the stars, the girls confirmed their immediate best friend status.

More to come.
