A local door opener has today confirmed to The Advocate that it's not the time for anyone to get jittery, unless you have a property you want to sell that is.
Despite taking to social media multiple times a day to share anti-government content or post angry videos about how Jim Chalmers and Anthony Albanese are communists trying to destroy private ownership, James Philby says when it comes to his own business, he's all good.
"Mate, it's actually created a really good opportunity," said Philby, after cold calling one of our reporters to try and list his property in Betoota Plains.
"Don't get me started on these changes to tax and that, but it's really driving interest in the market is what we are seeing."
"People wanting to get into the market before they lose the right to grandfather these properties ya know."
Philby's comments comes after he also contacted another one of our reporters, who popped into a place in Betoota Heights to try and snag a family home with his wife and kid.
In that conversation, Phily explained that it's actually a fantastic time to buy, because a lot of sellers are worried about the market so are panic selling - which means for buyers like our reporter it's a fantastic chance to snag a deal.
While the two things might just be true, Philby says it has nothing to do with him chasing the seemingly endless rivers of gold that come from his role in Australia's property ponzi scheme.
"Mate, it's both a great time to buy and a great time to sell, depending upon your situation and where you are at ya know."
Our reporter nodded.
More to come.
