There has been a townhouse for sale in a complex of ten in Betoota Heights that's been on the market now for 90 days. LJ Hooker was the first agency tasked with selling it, now it's Ray White. According to the vendor, that's about to change as well.

Local man Rudy Husk, a semi-retired geography teacher, has a number in his head for what he both "wants and needs" for his two-bedroom townie. That number, according to some in the real estate game, is not realistic.

Speaking to The Advocate today about this horrific downturn in the Far Southwestern Queensland property market, the 55-year-old said the limited amount of buyers for homes such as his has caused him stress at a time when he should be cashing in.

"We have had some offers but they're about what I paid for this place about 10 years ago, which is unacceptable," he said.

"Some young guy came in and even had a building report done. He tried to claim the whole complex was full of the left-wing, woke invention that is 'concrete cancer' and even went as far as saying the waterproofing in the shower drain was 'fucked', then he offered me a hundred thousand dollars less than my reserve. When the agent said no, the little fuck laughed in his face,"

"I refuse to be one of those people that loses money on property in Australia. It's not supposed to happen. I know the true value of my property, I don't care what these little fucking Tarocash rent boys tell me or what some cock-sure 30-year-old looking to bend me over thinks it's worth. This government has emboldened this behaviour and it's unacceptable."

More to come.
