A strong-minded lorikeet from the Northern Rivers town of Bangalow has today hit out at number of species of fellow birds.
The rainbow lorikeet has this morning taken to BirdX to tweet (pardon the pun) a fired up rant about all the pigeons out there just lining up to get the government's jab.
"Don't say we didn't warn you," said the Lorikeet, in reference to his cohort of colourful birds that populate Byron Bay and its hinterland.
The 3-year-old Trichoglossus moluccanus who recently moved up to the area after deciding he needed a change of scenery from his parents nest in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney - has been tweeting some rather emotive content around the recent jabs administered to birds around the country.
This comes as the devastating effects of Bird Flu start to take hold, with every state in the country now reporting infections.
"Mate, just spend some time doing a little bit of research into this stuff," tweeted the Lorikeet.
"The whole thing is an absolute rush job and being pushed by Big Vet and Pharma."
"And these city and breasted pigeons are just lapping it up like seed from an elderly local man who likes to connect with nature."
"Which is fine, just don't come chirping to me when the government has given you birdtism."
More to come.
