Local Dolphins Fan Asks Dan Murphy’s Staff To Recommend Something That Tastes Like A Sweet Sweet Victory

A Moreton Bay man has today walked into his local Dan Murphy's with one thing on his mind. Victory.

Local yabbie catcher, Dent Tralton (36) knows very well that this could be the year for his team. After only three seasons in the NRL.

Waltzing to the counter in full Dolphins kit, the staff knew as well as Dent that this wasn't an early crow. The boys could very well go all the way. And the Dragons at Win Stadium are just part of this well-timed finals tilt.

"What are we looking for mate?" said the young bloke at the front counter, whose name actually is 'Champ' - according to his nametag.

Dent didn't have to say much to Champ. He just put his phin up and gyrated his body in a ocean-like manner.

"Oh. You must be looking for the celebratory lagers. Follow me"

Situated right next to the stouts in the Premium lagers aisle, Champ leads Dent to the 'golden microphones.

A popular beer for all the major milestone ceremonies such as births, weddings, Christmas Day and euphoric rugby league victories - the Crown Lager is the go to for anyone who has either made the big time, or is enjoying the good times. That's what Champ tells Dent.

Dent nods. He's no show boater. But the Dolphins have been really strong this year. It's time to start seriously considering whether he becomes a Crownie drinker.

"Yeah I'll get a box of the Crownies and maybe a bottle of cream liqueur for the missus if you can recommend anything, Champ"

"Ah yes" says Champ.
