Local Bloke Kicks Can Down The Road With Three Months Of Rego

A car that would be lucky to pass a roadworthy test is expected to only get three months rego today, as a local bloke decides he’s just not in the mood to wave goodbye to hundreds of dollars from his savings.

Waiting for his buddies to join him for an end of week pint at the Settlers Tavern, Brendon Haynely (33) decided he’d make the financially sound decision to not waste a few bets on the dogs, and instead open up his phone and try and sort out some life admin.

However upon opening up the gmail app on his phone, Brendo was alerted to a final warning from the department of transport that stated his car was less than 24 hours away from being unregistered.

Swearing at the thought of burning hundreds of dollars of cash in one painful BPay transaction, Brendon instead took a big thick gulp from his XPA pint and pondered out the window.

“Well, I really don’t need this, it’s been a hell of a month,” Brendon thought to himself.

“Had to buy a new suit for Pete’s wedding and settle that $600 debt I owed to his best man for his bucks.”

“Not to mention it was the Misso’s birthday, and my Mum’s too…”

Thinking deeply about how much he thought he deserved a proper good night with his punters club, unshackled from the realities of his finances, Brendon couldn’t help but wish there was another way to get around registering his 2004 Honda Civic, which also needs some new tyres.

Scrolling through the payment options, Brendon’s mood instantly lifted when he realised he was able to just cover the cost of three months rego, and proceed to get on with his night.

“Ahhhh perfect, that’ll get me through winter…” Brendon dribbled, as he mashed his card details into his phone.

“Anyway if I win big on the dishlickers tonight, I promise to put it towards when the next 3 months come around again.”
